September 3: Righteousness

The Jewish people are not the only ones who have asked how to get right with God. Although God’s answer has always been the same, faith in His atonement, people choose to make up their own ways. But the transforming faith through Yeshua is the only way anyone can “do justice, love mercy and walk humbly before God.”

Micah 6:5-8

With what shall I come before the Lord,

And bow myself before the High God?

Shall I come before Him with burnt offerings,

With calves a year old?

Will the Lord be pleased with thousands of rams,

Ten thousand rivers of oil?

Shall I give my firstborn for my transgression,

The fruit of my body for the sin of my soul?

He has shown you, O man, what is good;

And what does the Lord require of you

But to do justly,

To love mercy,

And to walk humbly with your God?

PRAY FOR ISRAEL TO REJECT VAIN RELIGIOUS ACTIVITIES AND ACCEPT GOD’S OFFER OF ATONEMENT.
