February 10: Praise to God!

The posts for this week are taken from the prophet Micah so the categories follow the context.  Despite the terrible sins of Israel, Micah looked forward to the day when the Messiah would rule from Jerusalem, the spiritual capital of the world, and Israel would be redeemed and restored.

But first we praise the Lord as sundown begins the monthly holiday of “Rosh Hodesh,” the beginning of the month.

Psalm 150

Praise the Lord!

Praise God in His sanctuary;
praise Him in His mighty firmament!

Praise Him for His mighty acts;
praise Him according to His excellent greatness!

Praise Him with the sound of the trumpet;
praise Him with the lute and harp!

Praise Him with the timbrel and dance;
praise Him with stringed instruments and flutes!

Praise Him with loud cymbals;
praise Him with clashing cymbals!

Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.

Praise the Lord!

These words are a command yet we rarely respond to the command with praise!

 PRAY THAT ALL PEOPLE WILL PRAISE THE LORD FOR WHO HE IS AND WHAT HE HAS DONE
