October 24: Restoration; God’s unique relationship with Israel

Purifying the people

God’s discipline of Israel is always for her good, so that she will KNOW Him.

Ezekiel 20:37-38

“I will make you pass under the rod, and I will bring you into the bond of the covenant; I will purge the rebels from among you, and those who transgress against Me; I will bring them out of the country where they dwell, but they shall not enter the land of Israel. Then you will know that I am the Lord.

PRAY FOR ISRAEL TO TURN FROM THEIR REBELLION BEFORE GOD BRINGS DISCIPLINE.

  1. Jean says:

Let the righteous be glad; let them exult before God; Yes, let them rejoice with gladness. Sing to God, sing praises to His name; Lift up a song for Him who rides through the deserts, Whose name is the Lord, and exult before Him. . . He leads out the prisoners into prosperity, only the rebellious dwell in a parched land. . . .If you consent and obey, You will eat the best of the land; But if you refuse and rebel, You will be devoured . . . Surely you will be ashamed of the oaks which you have desired, And you will be embarrassed at the gardens which you have chosen. For you will be like an oak whose leaf fades away Or as a garden that has no water. The strong man will become tinder, His work also a spark. Thus they shall both burn together and there will be none to quench them. (Ps. 68:3-4, 6, Is. 1:19, 29 31

I have been the LORD your God ~ And you were not to know any god except Me, For there is no savior besides Me. I cared for you in the wilderness, In the land of drought. . . .

The LORD will continually guide you, And satisfy your desire in scorched places, And give strength to your bones; And you will be like a watered garden, And like a spring of water whose waters do not fail. . . He changes a wilderness into a pool of water And a dry land into springs of water. . .Also He blesses them. . . Who is wise? Let him give heed to these things, And consider the lovingkindnesses of the LORD. (Hos. 13:4-5; Is. 58:11: Ps. 107:34-38, 43)

O God, You are my God; I shall seek You earnestly; My soul thirsts for You, my flesh yearns for You, In a dry and weary land where there is no water. . . Let the righteous be glad; let them exult before God; Yes, let them rejoice with gladness. Sing to God, sing praises to His name; ]Lift up a song for Him who rides through the deserts, Whose name is the Lord, and exult before Him. . . He leads out the prisoners into prosperity, only the rebellious dwell in a parched land. . . .Ps. 63:1; 68:3-4, 6)

    In prayer……..
