November 8: God is Israel’s protector

The history of the Jewish people past, present and future is filled with times of persecution, danger and death by their many enemies; so it’s hard to reconcile God’s promises of protection. We may not understand His ways, but real and lasting faith is based on God’s faithfulness and truth regardless of circumstances.

Deuteronomy 1:29-31

“Then I said to you, ‘Do not be terrified, or afraid of them.  The Lord your God, who goes before you, He will fight for you, according to all He did for you in Egypt before your eyes, and in the wilderness where you saw how the Lord your God carried you, as a man carries his son, in all the way that you went until you came to this place.’

God’s faithfulness to Israel was based on His absolute commitment to His unique relationship with her based on His covenant with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

PRAY FOR ISRAEL TO RECOGNIZE GOD’S FAIHTFULNESS TO THE JEWISH PEOPLE.
