The Rapture: Assurance for the Redeemed
Moses had seen so many of God’s miracles to convince Pharaoh to let Israel go.
But now God was asking Moses to take Israel out of Egypt, across the desert and into the Promised land
That was just too much!
God assured Moses that he would go with him…but even that wasn’t enough
Moses insisted, he wanted to see God’s glory!
God wasn’t offended or angry, so God offered to show him His goodness.
Now the Lord descended in the cloud and stood with him there, and proclaimed the name of the Lord. And the Lord passed before him and proclaimed, “The Lord, the Lord God, merciful and gracious, long-suffering, and abounding in goodness and truth, keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, by no means clearing the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children and the children’s children to the third and the fourth generation.”
Because He’s compassionate, patient, holy and just, God continues to warn of judgement to the wicked and deliverance and protection to the redeemed.
1 Thessalonians 5:4-5
But you, brethren, are not in darkness, so that this Day should overtake you as a thief. You are all sons of light and sons of the day. We are not of the night nor of darkness.
PRAY FOR ISRAEL TO CHOOSE THE LIGHT NOT REMAIN IN DARKNESS
