November 27: Christian Anti-Semitism: Replacement Theology

-Replacement Theology

So that God wouldn’t be accused of breaking all of His covenant promises, Replacement Theology believes that He took away from Israel all His unique blessings to them and gave them all to the “Church.”  But, it is believed, He kept all the curses for Israel.

In other words, the Church has replaced Israel.  Rather than protecting God’s faithfulness, it actually makes God unfaithful!  If God could break His promises to Israel than He could break His promise to the Church and to every Believer.

Furthermore, Replacement Theology results in a misinterpretation of Scripture. It usurps God’s unique relationship and His responsibility to Israel.

Genesis 25:23

And the Lord said to her:

“Two nations are in your womb,
Two peoples shall be separated from your body;
One people shall be stronger than the other,
And the older shall serve the younger.” (NKJV)

Renounce the lie:

In the name of Yeshua, I renounce the teaching and belief that this verse means that the Jews would serve the Church!

Replace with the truth:

Genesis 27:29

Isaac fulfilled God’s plan by blessing Jacob:

“Let peoples serve you,
and nations bow down to you.
Be lord over your brothers,
and may your mother’s sons bow down to you.
Cursed be everyone who curses you,
and blessed be everyone who blesses you!”

Thanks Wilma, You are so very right. Do you know people among your friends or (I hope not) your church that believes in these lies?
