July 16: Restoration of the Land

Someone recently said, “The national bird of Israel is the crane – the building crane.

Just as God promised, what was once desolate now teems with life.  But as He promised, there is much, much more!

Isaiah 54: 2-3, 11-12:  Enlarge the place of your tent,
and let them stretch out the curtains of your dwellings;
do not spare;
lengthen your cords,
 and strengthen your stakes.  For you shall expand to the right and to the left,
and your descendants will inherit the nations,
and make the desolate cities inhabited.

“O you afflicted one,
tossed with tempest, and not comforted,
behold, I will lay your stones with colorful gems,
and lay your foundations with sapphires.  I will make your pinnacles of rubies,
 your gates of crystal,
 and all your walls of precious stones.

    Hi Joanie:
    Great Scripture refs on the daily comments on Jerusalem. Could the Isa. 54:11-12 also refer to Rev. 21:11 passage about the new Jerusalem? What a sight that will be!
