The Great Tribulation
The Great Tribulation is the last 3.5 years of Daniel’s 70th week and is the time of God’s harshest judgment upon the world.
Through Matthew the Apostle, God warns Israel to watch for a specific sign that will mark the beginning of this terrible period
The fact that this “sign” was spoken of by the prophet Daniel about 6 centuries before the earthly life of Yeshua gives validation to God’s prophetic word, He knows the end from the beginning.
Note the terms Yeshua used, words specific to the Jewish people.
“Therefore when you see the ‘abomination of desolation,’ spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place”
(whoever reads, let him understand),
“then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains.
Let him who is on the housetop not go down to take anything out of his house. And let him who is in the field not go back to get his clothes.
But woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing babies in those days! And pray that your flight may not be in winter or on the Sabbath.
For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be.
The fact that God gives Israel this warning is a reminder that in the midst of God’s holy justice, He is merciful.
And unless those days were shortened, no flesh would be saved; but for the elect’s sake those days will be shortened.
A word of encouragement
You will keep him in perfect peace, Whose mind is stayed on You, Because he trusts in You.
PRAY FOR OPPORTUNITIES TO SHARE GOD’S WAY OF SALVATION TO THE JEWISH PEOPLE.
