January 29: Christian Anti-Semitism – Wandering Jews

Wandering Jews

God warned Israel that there would come a day that He would scatter them among the nations because of their rebellion.

Deuteronomy 28:64-65

“Then the Lord will scatter you among all peoples, from one end of the earth to the other, and there you shall serve other gods, which neither you nor your fathers have known—wood and stone.  And among those nations you shall find no rest, nor shall the sole of your foot have a resting place; but there the Lord will give you a trembling heart, failing eyes, and anguish of soul.” (NKJV)

From 135 AD onward the Jewish people were continually on the move. Israeli born Amir Tsfarti points out that at first Jews were welcomed into each of their host country.  But then the attitude toward them changed from strained tolerance to violent anti-Semitism.

Renounce the lie:

“Monstrous people, the object of hatred of the whole world…. In their misery wrought by divine malediction, they are the laughing stock of all sensible people.” (Jacques-Benigne Bousseut, considered the loudest voice in France, 1627-1704

Replace with truth

Deuteronomy 30:1-3

“Now it shall come to pass, when all these things come upon you, the blessing and the curse which I have set before you, and you call them to mind among all the nations where the Lord your God drives you, and you return to the Lord your God and obey His voice, according to all that I command you today, you and your children, with all your heart and with all your soul, that the Lord your God will bring you back from captivity, and have compassion on you, and gather you again from all the nations where the Lord your God has scattered you.” (NKJV)

The Jews were expelled from Gush Kativ in a Land for Peace agreement in 2005.
