Who among us hasn’t at least once asked God, “Why?”
- “Why did you do/allow that?”
- Why didn’t you do/allow that?
Rarely do we get answers, although we do learn a lot from the situation.
Probably the question most asked among Jews is, “Why did God allow the Holocaust?” And among Gentile scoffers, doubters and unbelievers, the question is similar, “If there is a God, why does He allow evil and pain?”
God has a purpose for everything He does and He tells us so often – to fill the earth with the knowledge of His glory.
For the earth will be filled
With the knowledge of the glory of the Lord,
As the waters cover the sea.
Later Paul further explains:
Therefore, God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father
As we’ve said before, the meaning of the Hebrew word used for “knowledge” is not head knowledge, but the knowing that can only come from an intimate relationship.
So we DO have an answer: God’s purpose for The Tribulation is to fulfill His larger goal of “filling the earth with the knowledge of His glory through Yeshua.
PRAY THAT ALL ISRAEL WILL KNOW THE JOY OF A RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD THROUGH YESHUA.
