January 11: Israel’s redemption and salvation

Many Jewish people today believe that Yeshua lived as a Jewish man, but it was the Apostle Paul who actually started a new religion. Nothing could be farther from the truth. Paul never considered himself to be anything other than a Jew. He lived as a Jew and, using a Jewish book – the Tenach (Old Testament) – taught that Yeshua was the promised Messiah and the fulfillment of the New Covenant as promised through the prophet Jeremiah.

Romans 9:1-4

I tell the truth in Christ, I am not lying, my conscience also bearing me witness in the Holy Spirit, that I have great sorrow and continual grief in my heart. For I could wish that I myself were accursed from Christ for my brethren, my countrymen according to the flesh, who are Israelites.

From the moment of his salvation, he spent the rest of his life bringing the message of the Gospel of God’s grace through Yeshua, first to the Jews and then to the Gentiles. His driving passion was the glory of God and the salvation of his people.

Every person who loves, worships and follows Yeshua should have the same passion.
