January 1: God’s unique relationship with Israel

Most of the world, and even some in the Church are ignorant of God’s unique relationship with Israel. This ignorance is really a spiritual blindness; if Believers are blind, how much greater is the blindness of the world?

Therefore, our prayers must be directed to bringing down that barrier of blindness.

As we begin a new year, I suggest we review what the Bible tells us about Israel and her unique relationship with God.

It’s important that we remember that God is God and He does whatever He pleases. And everything He does will always bring Him glory and good to those who know, love, trust and obey Him.

Genesis 3: 1, 6, 14-15

1 Now the serpent was more cunning than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said to the woman, “Has God indeed said, ‘You shall not eat of every tree of the garden’?”

6 So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree desirable to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate. She also gave to her husband with her, and he ate.

14-15 So the Lord God said to the serpent:

“Because you have done this,
you are cursed more than all cattle,
and more than every beast of the field;
on your belly you shall go,
and you shall eat dust
all the days of your life.

And I will put enmity
between you and the woman,
and between your seed and her Seed;
He shall bruise your head,
 and you shall bruise His heel.” (NKJV)

Breaking down spiritual strongholds, calls for a more specific pattern of prayer; renouncing the lies and replacing with God’s truth.  Therefore, in some of our posts, we will revise our generic prayers for Israel and the Nations according to this pattern.

For example:

In the name and the power of Jesus, I renounce the lie……

I declare the truth of God……..

Renounce the lie:

Defeat of the Jews brings happiness of the “gods.” (Cicero, Roman Statesman circa 59 AD)

Replace with truth:

The Lord has appeared of old to me, saying: “Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love; Therefore, with lovingkindness I have drawn you. (Jeremiah 31:3)

The land God promised to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and their descendants.
