When King David brought the Ark of the Covenant back to Jerusalem, he led the people in praise. David was truly a worshipping warrior – a king whose first love was worship! There should be no surprise why God considered David “A man after My heart.”
David’s song of praise gives us our prayer focus for almost every day this week. May every Israeli (and every man, woman and child around the world) seek, chase after God’s heart.
Israel was chosen for a mission – to be His witness and lead the rest of the world in praise and worship.
My rabbi once said, “We are God’s messengers but have forgotten His message.
PRAY THAT THE JEWISH PEOPLE WOULD FULFILL THEIR DESTINY AS GOD’S MESSENGERS.
1 Chronicles 16: 8-13
Oh, give thanks to the Lord! Call upon His name; make known His deeds among the peoples!
Sing to Him, sing psalms to Him; talk of all His wondrous works!
Glory in His holy name; let the hearts of those rejoice who seek the Lord!
Seek the Lord and His strength; seek His face evermore!
Remember His marvelous works which He has done, His wonders, and the judgments of His mouth,
O seed of Israel His servant, you children of Jacob, His chosen ones!
