September 14: God Is Israel’s Protector

Genesis 15:1

After these things the word of the Lord came to Abram in a vision, saying, “Do not be afraid, Abram. I am your shield, your exceedingly great reward.”

After what things?

  • God had made some awesome promises to Abram.
  • Abram had to rescue Lot from Chedorlaomer and the kings with him.
  • Abram met and was blessed by Melchizedek, king of Salem.

Abram must have been wondering when God was going to fulfill His promises.   God’s answer was to give an even better promise – to be his GREAT reward and protector.

PRAY ISRAEL WILL UNDERSTAND THE ULTIMATE PROMISES OF GOD
