February 22: God’s unique relationship with Israel

The Hebrew in verse 13 is from the root חֶסֶד [chesed] which is best translated as “covenant keeping love.”  God’s chesed is based on His covenants with Abraham, Moses and David and echoed throughout the Hebrew prophets.  He has committed Himself to love Israel despite her rebellion against Him.  God’s love is pure and eternal.

Exodus 15:11-13

11“Who is like You, O Lord, among the [b]gods?
Who is like You, glorious in holiness,
Fearful in praises, doing wonders?
12You stretched out Your right hand;
The earth swallowed them.
13You in Your mercy have led forth
The people whom You have redeemed;
You have guided them in Your strength
To Your holy habitation.

PRAY FOR ISRAEL TO BELIEVE AND ACCEPT GOD’S LOVE THROUGH YESHUA, THE MESSIAH.
