First candle of Hanukkah
Tonight at sundown the first candle of Hanukkah is lit. As we remember the victory God gave Judah Maccabee, we remember and celebrate that the ultimate victory over sin came through Yeshua. Let us also remember that it was during this holiday that Yeshua gave His last proclamation that He was the long awaited Messiah.
Messiah’s Mission & Ministry
God the Son and God the Father are the same in mission and ministry.
Genesis 1: 1-3ff
In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters. Then God said…..
He (Yeshua) is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him.
2 Samuel 14:14
For we will surely die and become like water spilled on the ground, which cannot be gathered up again. Yet God does not take away a life; but He devises means, so that His banished ones are not expelled from Him.
Psalm 49:6-8, 15
Those who trust in their wealth and boast in the multitude of their riches,
None of them can by any means redeem his brother, Nor give to God a ransom for him—for the redemption of their souls is costly…for the Lord has redeemed Jacob, and glorified Himself in Israel…But God will redeem my soul from the power of the grave, for He shall receive me. Selah
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love, having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will, to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He made us accepted in the Beloved. In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace
