God’s Promise to Assyria
Assyria’s relationship with Israel was also convoluted. Often God used Assyria to be His tool of discipline. But the pride of the Assyrian king led the army beyond God’s boundaries. As a result, God then disciplined the Assyrians. There are also numerous referrals to “The Assyrian” as a title of the anti-messiah.
Today Assyria is a nation without a home. The population of approximately 5 million are spread around the world, with many fleeing to their closest neighbors Syria, Iran and Turkey.
Nevertheless, one day Assyria will be part of the unique trio of nations along with Egypt and Israel.
In that day there will be a highway from Egypt to Assyria, and the Assyrian will come into Egypt and the Egyptian into Assyria, and the Egyptians will serve with the Assyrians.
In that day Israel will be one of three with Egypt and Assyria—a blessing in the midst of the land, whom the Lord of hosts shall bless, saying, “Blessed is Egypt My people, and Assyria the work of My hands, and Israel My inheritance.”
PRAY FOR THE ASSYRIAN BELIEVERS TO STAND FIRM IN FAITH AND COME TO A SAVING KNOWLEDGE OF YESHUA.
