August 7:  End Times: The Preface

The Destruction of the Temple

At this point in the prophesy, there was an historical pause.  It is as though God has a stop-watch.   The first 69 weeks moved, but now God paused for an undisclosed period of time.  We are still in that pause.

40 years after Yeshua’s death and resurrection, in 70 AD the Jewish people revolted against the occupying Romans.  Whether by accident or not, the Temple caught fire was completely destroyed just as Yeshua had warned His disciples.

In 135 AD the second revolt ended with a complete destruction of Jerusalem and the expulsion of the Jews from Jerusalem.

Daniel refers to a “prince who is to come” whose identity was and continues to be unknown.  We do know that it was the Romans who destroyed Jerusalem so it might be logical to suggest that the “prince” will also be Roman.

Daniel 9:26 b-c

And the people of the prince who is to come
Shall destroy the city and the sanctuary.
The end of it shall be with a flood,
And till the end of the war desolation’s are determined.

PRAY FOR ISRAEL TO READ DANIEL’S PROPHESY AND BEGIN TO SEEK FOR ANSWERS.

Destruction of the Temple. The Arch of Titus in Rome depicts the sacking of the Temple.
