August 29: Israel’s redemption and salvation

The word translated as “redeemed” is the same word Moses uses in connection with God’s deliverance of Israel from slavery in Egypt.  Another word is used for “redemption” in the spiritual sense.  Nevertheless, we do pray for Israel’s salvation, redemption through Yeshua which brings deliverance from the bondage of sin.

Nehemiah 1:10-11

Now these are Your servants and Your people, whom You have redeemed by Your great power, and by Your strong hand.  O Lord, I pray, please let Your ear be attentive to the prayer of Your servant, and to the prayer of Your servants who desire to fear Your name; and let Your servant prosper this day, I pray, and grant him mercy in the sight of this man.”

For I was the king’s cupbearer.

RENOUNCE THE LIE

The Church was completely responsible for the breach between Jewish and Gentile Believers.

REPLACE WITH THE TRUTH

TRUTH: In 70 AD, the Jewish leaders were not only concerned about the Jews who began to follow Christ, but also many “non-rabbinic”, but thoroughly Jewish, groups: gnostics, apocalypticists, and hellenizers. http://www.tyndalehouse.com/Bulletin/59=2008/6%20Klink.pdf

PRAY FOR THE HEALING OF THE BREACH BETWEEN THE JEWISH AND GENTILE FOLLOWERS OF CHRIST AND THE EMERGENCE OF THE ONE NEW MAN.
