April 27: Righteousness

God does not accept sacrifices or offerings that are not perfect. He is holy and demanded holiness from the people.

Deuteronomy 17: 1

“You shall not sacrifice to the Lord your God an ox or a sheep which has a blemish or any defect, for that is a detestable thing to the Lord your God.”

The sacrifices of animals were only pictures of the ultimate sacrifice that God required. The blood of bulls, goats or turtledoves could not change the sinner’s heart or his behavior. A better sacrifice was needed and provided, the blood sacrifice of Yeshua. Because of His perfect sacrifice, the sinner can come before the Lord God imperfect, blemished and broken.

PRAY FOR ISRAEL TO COME TO THE LORD GOD WITH THE PERFECT SACRIFICE, YESHUA THEIR ATONEMENT.
