God’s holiness and righteousness is as much part of His character as is love. Therefore, if God does not eventually bring punishment for sin, then righteousness loses all meaning and God’s Creation will be overwhelmed with violence and evil as it was in the days of Noah.
The Lord looks down from heaven upon the children of men,
To see if there are any who understand, who seek God.
They have all turned aside,
They have together become corrupt;
There is none who does good,
No, not one.
Although the devastation looks the same for Israel and the nations, God has different purposes for His judgement.
God will judge the Gentiles for their:
- rebellion, sin, and rejection of God,
- treatment of Israel and the Jewish people.
God’s punishment of the Gentiles will result in their total destruction.
Discipline of Israel for their:
- unbelief and rejection of Yeshua,
- as a witness to the Gentiles.
God’s discipline of Israel will bring purging and redemption resulting in “all Israel will be saved.”
PRAY THE JEWISH PEOPLE WILL REPENT BEFORE THE TIME OF JACOB’S TROUBLE.
